This 8-week session includes improv games, character work and honing narrative skills with one of Second City’s prize instructors/performers. For beginners and intermediates, we provide safe, supportive and welcoming classes. Fresh content and learning in every session.

Improv Games, Genre and Long Form (Int./Adv.) • Thursdays, March 20 – May 8
Improv Games, Genre and Long Form (Intermediate/Advanced)
with Janet Van De Graaff
Dive into a bevy of essential improv skills to further hone your craft. Deepen your understanding of performance games. Learn how to morph into genre styles new and old: from Shakespeare and Jane Austen to Anime and Reality TV. Every class will end with a chance to Long Form Improvise; the ultimate writing-on-your-feet experience. Previous improv experience is a prerequisite.
